Coming Home

I can’t believe the story has come full circle and we’ve arrived back home where we belong - in Fort Collins. Beautiful, artistic, colorful, welcoming, kind, and sunny Fort Collins.

My dream was to live and work in Old Town, to really be part of the community. If my story was - at least to me - amazing up to this point, and I’m endlessly grateful that it was, it becomes an absolute dream from here on forward. I found my home at Clothes Pony and Dandelion Toys, one of the most important, beautiful, and simply the best store in Fort Collins. A home that lives and breathes community.
Clothes Pony and Dandelion Toys
To be able to spend so much time here and get to know so many faces, so many smiles… to watch so many moments of laughter, yes moments of tears, moments of bravery and independence and kindness - joining the family at Clothes Pony will simply remain unmatched for the impact it has had on my life. Being able to share so many moments there has been the highlight so far.

My nephew got his first job at Clothes Pony.
My niece was able to spend so much time there and feel so loved.

Clothes Pony allowed me to connect with this community in a way that I never thought was possible, and every time I think about it I’m so incredibly thankful for all the connections, all the beautiful faces I got to meet week after week, sometimes day after day. I got to grow so many true friendships in such a quick amount of time. But, like with everything, there is often one standout—and even working in the best toy store ever, with an incredible, amazing team of people serving the most amazing community I could think of, there is still a standout: doing Friday Sing-Along with JoJo.
Spending Friday after Friday, sometimes for years, with your kiddos and watching them smile and dance and sing was the most meaningful thing I’ve ever had in my life. It simply takes the cake for my favorite thing I’ve ever done. I can’t imagine much of anything topping it.
I don’t know how to put into words the amount of appreciation and gratitude I have for my time at Sing-Along, and for Clothes Pony as a whole, so I’ll leave the rest to pictures.
I’ve really appreciated putting this story together, and it’s been quite the personal journey for me — recounting all these memories. I hope my appreciation has shown throughout for how fortunate I’ve been to have so many amazing connections in my life.
I feel truly privileged, blessed, and honored.
